EGME Cluster

Introduction of Energetics, Machine- and Steel-framework Manufacturer and Mechatronic Supplier Cluster (EGME Cluster)

Initiated by senior Paróczai Péter and the cooperation of several for-profit and non-profit companies, EGME Cluster has been established in 2009, Salgótarján, North Hungary. The deed of foundation was signed by 14 companies (foundation members) on 18th of December 2009. The cluster is free-will cooperation between companies in the field of environmental industry-, energetics-, mechatronics-, chemical industry-, and processing industry. Member companies are willing to achieve common goals. Currently there are 36 members of the cluster out of which 29 members are SMEs, 4 companies are large enterprises, 1 foundation, 1 university and 1 research centre. The cluster unites the separated university and industry knowledge, supports synergies and the deployment of knowledge, and generates employment and income for a more sustainable and competitive local area. Furthermore it contributes significantly to a business friendly environment and higher quality of life for the residents. There is an increasing willingness among companies to join the cluster due to the successful projects and mutually fruitful cooperation. The cluster management organisation (gestor) of EGME Cluster is Vibercon Ltd. since Q2 of 2015. Our plan is to achieve the “Accredited Innovation Cluster” title for the cluster and to generate new projects and partnerships in order to better exploit the geographical, economic and intellectual resources of the area. The cluster intends to cooperate with other clusters and organizations on both project and strategic levels. Project level activities include project generation for international programmes (as V4, INTERREG, Horizon 2020) while strategic level cooperation focuses on strategic programming and the representation of common interests. EGME cluster is a perfect partner in finding, managing and developing business opportunities, conducting international R&D activities and joint participation on international markets, especially far-east directions. We welcome foreign cluster member companies and future partner organisations.
